Yup, every year as March 6 rolls around, I think of that lovely "walk and talk" scene with Methos and Duncan...

Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) has introduced a bill to make all porn illegal. Just like they said they would in Project 2025. They'll start with online/video porn, but don't think they won't come after slash eventually.

Hard to believe, but 30 years ago today, Duncan met Methos...

Have you seen the reports that online porn sites are running ads highlighting how Project 2025 will come after porn and its producers, distributors, etc? Yup, they're running ads before every porn film starts. Good on them!!

I don't tend to do politics on here, but this one is just crazy! The far right Project 2025 has aspirations to control everything in our lives, including (and I hadn't realized this) prohibiting porn and jailing those who produce/distribute it. Think this might not affect those of us who play in the slash playground? I wouldn't count on it...

Just for fun, I looked to see if any of the streaming services had deals for Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and yes, most of them do! Signed up for some that I've been thinking about for a while. Now to find the time to sit down and enjoy them...

I have to say, I totally support the striking creatives. I mean, even before the strike, it wasn't like most of them were rich people or even managing without having jobs outside of the creative work. I'm considering what I as a retired not-rich person can do to support them while they hang in there to get the contract they deserve, and I found this list of organizations posted by one of the writers on the platform that used to be called Twitter:

Anybody out there use/subscribe to Substack? I've been trying to figure out if one subscription gets you all the folks you might want to follow or if you have to subscribe to each one (for lots more $$$) to get the Special Extra stuff.

I've been hunting all over the substack website and can't find the answer to this, most of their information seems to be geared to folks who want to create content, not receive it...

And yes, I know you can subscribe for free to get limited access, but there is at least one I'd be interested in the paid features.

I was watching that fine Christmas movie, Die Hard, and got to remembering a discussion years ago amongst some of my fannish friends about how Jack Bauer, John McClane and ... the third guy I can't remember! would share stories about their Very Bad Days...

Anybody remember that discussion and who the third was? This has been bugging me for a few days now...

I figured out my LG smart tv is only sort of smart, and doesn't have apps for a couple of streaming services I'm looking at. Both Roku and Fire will do what I need, so I'm looking for pluses and minuses for each. Oh, also, I'm also not a huge fan of Amazon's Alexa and the basic Amazon intrusiveness.

Which probably means I'm leaning toward Roku already. Anything I should know that would be a deal breaker?
