It's not a big deal compared to what others are going through, but a couple of weeks ago I jammed the middle finger of my left hand, and damaged something so I couldn't straighten the end joint. I wasn't too worried on account of no real pain, no bleeding, clearly not life threatening. I made a Dr. appt which was this morning. They took x-rays and examined it, turns out I managed to do a small fracture to one of the bones and tore/damaged something soft-tissue-ish that's making it so I can't straighten the finger. Upshot is that I now have to wear a splint on the finger 24/7 for the next six weeks. If I let it bend at all, whatever soft tissue healing is going on will get broken again. This makes typing very complicated. Plus, when I mentioned all the things I have to do these days, they said no holding dog leashes in the left hand. Uh huh. Sure. Like that'll happen... (for those that don't know, dogs in training all work on the left side of the handler).

And as if that wasn't enough, since I was at a hand Dr. I mentioned the trigger finger problem I have on my right hand (bent finger gets stuck and you have to force it straight again), so they gave me a cortisone shot in that hand, which makes it feel achey today...
